Ultimate PC Technician’s Toolkit

As a computer and/or network technician you need to have the right tools with you at all times in order to perform your job effectively.  Showing up for a job only to have to leave right away because you don’t have the correct tool may not leave a good impression with a client.  In the following article I would like to share with you what tools I carry with me so I am always ready to tackle any job.  Use this list to build your own tool-kit so that you will always be prepared.

Carry Cases, etc.
· Standard 12-Disc DVD Case
· Quick Release for pen drive on keychain
· Carry Case(s) for everything.
(A combo case that holds everything, including the laptop is sweet!)

USB Toolbox
NOTE: By no means would this setup be able to handle everything, but it handles just about all jobs I end up with. In fact, I could just bring my USB thumb drive and be able to handle 70% of them.

I store most of my portable/software applications onto my 1TB WD Drive and my bootable applications onto my 16GB Thumb drive. The apps on my portable hard are stored into different folders, thus making it easy for me to browse through.
