Cover letter for job application

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am interested in the part time position for networks and systems administrator advertised on “Seek” on 15th August 2012.

I am actually completing a foundation course at Central Institute of Technology in the Information Technology stream and soon would enter for my double degree in Computer Systems Engineering and Network Engineering at Edith Cowan University.

I have excellent communication skills such as listening, verbal and written to resolve all customer problems via email and phone. My vast exposures with Computer Applications and Networking have assisted me in carrying out my job smoothly, accurately and in time.

I am a sociable person, I enjoy working in teams and I strongly believe that my abilities are the best put into use within a team. My teamwork experience includes many curricular and extracurricular activities which I attended or volunteered for, including networking events and computer assemblies. Working in teams has made me a flexible person, who knows how to listen to the opinions of others and how to express myself. As a result, others are able to better understand my intentions and ideas.

I am skilled at using MS Windows All Versions, VMware, Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007, Active Directory, Outlook and LAN Domains.

I have Solid understanding of computer hardware & software and Exposure to server, Networking (Internet, LAN, WAN and Wireless) and desktop operating systems.

I believe that my attributes and qualities ensure that I am capable to fulfill duties of the subject position proficiently and make me successful in the subject job. If given the opportunity to prove, I can be a valuable asset to any employer.
